This book was written before the reformation that followed author’s repentance.
Within few years that followed after the experience of repentance the author went through total transformation. Gradually God lifted every scale off his deficient spiritual sight, which erroneous theology put on him.
The Hebrew language uses two words for repentance: t’shuva and naham. The King James translation of the Bible does not differentiate between these two words and translates them as “repentance.” We also have to distinguish between the Old Testament type as well as the New Testament type of repentance for both are significantly different.
